The Thomasville High School Diamond Club meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. in the school library.

Pine Hill to have curbside"pick up" days

The Town of Pine Hill will be picking up old appliances, furniture, junk, limbs, etc. on Oct. 13, 14 snd 15, within the town limits of Pine Hill. All items must be curbside no later than Monday morning Oct. 13. The town cannot pick up tires, batteries or regular household garbage on these days. If there are questions, call City Hall at 963-4351.

Thomasville Library "Lock-in" set

The Thomasville Public Library is planning a "Lock-in" for third and fourth graders on Friday, Oct. 17 from 7 to 10 p.m. Participants may bring an already carved pumpkin for the porch of the library and they will be judged. Space is limited to 30 children so sign-up now at the library if you would like to participate.

Adult Class set

Registration for adult classes at Marengo County Technology will be held Thursday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. There will be a $53 fee for each class at the time of registration. Classes offered are: Electronics Technology, Cabinetmaking & Millwork, Sewing, Microsoft Office 2000 and Automotive Service Technology. CHS "Ole Timers" Reunion scheduled

All former students and teachers of Coffeeville High School are invited to attend an "Ole Timers" Reunion to be held at the school Saturday, Oct. 18 with registration beginning at 9 a.m. A covered dish luncheon is planned and everyone is encouraged to attend and bring your favorite dish. The graduating Class of 1953 will be honored at this time. This is a great opportunity to see old friends and acquaintances from years past. Jewelry Sale

The Thomasville Infirmary Auxiliary will be holding a jewelry sale Mon., Oct. 20 from 7 a.m.-4 p.m.., and Tues., Oct. 21 from 9 a,m.-6 p.m. Proceeds will go to the Hospital and the Nursing Home. The sale will be held in the Conference Room at the Thomasville Infirmary.

Annual Peterman Station Arts & Crafts Festival planned

The 20th Annual Peterman Station Arts and Crafts Festival will be held Saturday, November 22. There will be approximately 150 booths and entertainment is planned for throughout the day. Down home food will be served. Booth sizes are 12’ x 12’ and rent for $45 without electricity and $50 with electricity. Legion To Meet

The local American Legion will be meeting on the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Legion Home located off Kimbrell Street.
