One of Gospel Music’s most popular trios, Karen Peck & New River will be in concert at First Baptist Church, Fulton, Saturday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. The church is located on Hwy 178, one mile east of Highway 43 in Fulton. Everyone is invited to attend. Karen Peck and New River has enjoyed much success including numerous award nominations. A concert featuring the group offers joy and excitement for audiences of all ages, regardless of musical stylistic preferences. This evening of worship promises to be enjoyable for the entire family. A love offering will be taken.
New Mt. Mariah Baptist Musicians Appreciation
The pastor and members of the New Mt. Mariah Baptist Church in Nanafalia would like to invite everyone to their Annual Musicians Appreciation program Saturday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. Special guests for the evening will be the Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church Choir of Sandersville, Miss.
Messiah Lutheran Harvest Festival
The Annual Harvest Festival will be held Sunday, Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1220 Martin Luther Dr., Thomasville. The Rev. Ferry Nye is the speaker for the occasion. Everyone is invited to attend by the pastor, the Rev. William H. Marsh.
Sweet Water Church of God Homecoming
Homecoming services are planned at Sweet Water Church of God Sunday, Oct. 12. Speaker for the 11 a.m. worship service is the Rev. W.I. "Irvin" Parten. Dinner on the grounds is set for the noon hour and gospel singing with the Dixie Disciples in the afternoon. Pastor Morgan Flowers invites everyone to join the church for this special event.
World Crafts Party
The Clarke Association WMU Leadership Team will hold a World Crafts Party at 2 p.m. on Oct. 19 in the Fellowship Center of Thomasville Baptist Church. World Crafts is a nonprofit ministry that assists people who live in poverty.
Annual Meeting
The Walker Springs Cemetery Association will hold the annual meeting on Oct. 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Gilead Church in Walker Springs. Anyone having an interest in either Mount Gilead or Hopewell Cemetery in Walker Springs is urged to meet with us and help plan for upkeep of the two cemeteries, as well as enjoy a time of fellowship together.
