Thanksgiving visit results in more arrests

Trying to make Thanksgiving a better holiday for an imprisoned friend landed two people in jail with him.

Felicia Enfinger Knight and Michael Gene Patrick went to Clarke County Jail Thursday and drove to the rear of the building. While Knight talked to a deputy outside, distracting him, Patrick threw cigarettes into the fenced enclosure utilized by inmates.

The couple’s actions were caught on the jail’s security cameras.

Knight, 21, and Patrick, 24, were charged with promotion of prison contraband.

Knight claimed they had been told by another friend that he got away with the act on several occasions, but she and Patrick were not so fortunate.
