Alabama Alumni Association meets today

The University of Alabama Clarke County Chapter Alumni and Friends Association invites all alumni, fans and friends to the spring meeting featuring Kenny Stabler, Color Analyst, Crimson Tide Sports Network, today, June 9 at The Kimball House in Jackson at 6:30 p.m.

Green family reunion is

June 11

The Green family reunion will be June 11 at Wesley Chapel UMC between 10:30 and 11 a.m.

This is a special invite to all that are kin and also to friends and neighbors. This will be hosted by Margaret Erskine Regen Greene and Ann Greene Bennett (the wife and daughter of the late Williams C. Greene).

Softball tournament is

June 11

Wagarville Softball Association will be hosting their first men’s tournament for 2005. It will be Saturday, June 11.

Magnolia Civic Club plans BBQ June 18

The Magnolia Civic Club will sell BBQ by the pound at the Magnolia Community Center on Saturday, June 18 from 10 a.m. until. The meat will be freshly cooked by Paul Thompson in the well-known Leroy Thompson tradition. The cost of the BBQ is $5 per pound.

Call in advance and your order will be bagged and tagged and ready for you to pick up.

Benefit singing in Magnolia

There will be a benefit singing for Phil and Grace Hasty on June 18 at the Magnolia Community House.

Featured singers will be The Revelators, Gene Etheredge and friends, Gary Baker and Boys from Northport. The singing will start at 5 p.m. There will be hamburgers, hotdogs, drinks and cakes for sale.

There will be a $5 admission fee. Kids six and under are free. Mr. Hasty fell from a ladder and broke his leg and Mrs. Hasty had four bypasses and a valve replaced in her heart.

Any extra donations will be appreciated. Bring your lawn chairs. In case of rain it will be inside.

THS Class of ‘80 Reunion

The Thomasville High School Class of 1980 will hold its 25th year class reunion on June 17-18. The cost for the reunion will be $50 for couples and $30 for singles.

Tucker reunion planned for July

The first annual reunion for the descendants of Matthew Tucker, and his sons, Johnny, Isaiah and Walter, will be July 22-24.

MHS Class of 1995 reunion

The annual Ernest and Rodie Phillips reunion will be held June 25 at the American Legion in Thomasville from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
