Cozy Quilters Club meets every month

The Cozy Quilters Club meets every first and third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Nutrition Center. There are classes on a variety of crafts, such as needle tatting, silk ribbon, embroidery, frayed edge pillow making and quilting. There are also all day project classes that meet occasionally on Saturdays. Pine Hill and Thomasville Blood Drives scheduled

The Pine Hill Community Blood Drive is Thursday, Dec. 29 at Pine Hill City Hall from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 7 will be the Thomasville Community Choir Blood Drive at Thomasville Church of God in Christ from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Each of these blood drives are included in the Escape for the Holidays Drawing for 2 round trip airline tickets and a 7-day Caribbean Cruise. They will be t-shirts for every donor as well.

Tucker Retirement Reception is Dec. 29

The Retirement Reception in honor of Peggie Tucker will be held Thursday, Dec. 29 at 3 p.m. at Clarke County Department of Human Resources in Grove Hill.

Jr. Woman’s Club to sponsor dance

Thomasville’s Junior Woman’s Club will sponsor a New Year’s Eve Dance at Pineview County Club on Saturday, Dec. 31. Entertainment will be by “The Days”. Refreshment hour is from 8 until 9 p.m. and the band will play from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. Couples are $25 and singles are $15.

Pineview Women’s Ministry to host seminar

Pineview Baptist Women’s Ministry will host an educational seminar on the Medicare Part D new drug Prescription Coverage on Wednesday, Jan. 4 in the Sanctuary from 3:30 until 5:30 p.m.

Liz Hammond from Healthcare Solutions will present his informative program to help you make the right decision before the end of March.
