Herman King
Catherine Arnold Adams
Catherine Arnold Adams, 50, of Columbia, Miss. died May 29, 2006 in an automobile accident. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 3 at 1 p.m. at Williams Temple C.M.E. Church in Thomasville. Interment followed in the McFadden Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include three sisters, Lillie Arnold, Lora A. Bass and Lisa (Charles) Towns, all of Thomasville; three brothers, James Davis of Canton, Ohio; Alex Arnold of Jacksonville, Fla. and Bennie (Vanessa) Arnold of Thomasville; and three grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were directed by Thomasville Memorial Funeral Home in Thomasville.
Geraldine "Laura Ann" Davis
Geraldine "Laura Ann" Davis of Detroit, Mich. died May 22, 2006. Funeral services were held May 26 at 1 p.m. at Glorious Temple in Lower Peach Tree with Rev. McConnell officiating.
Survivors include her husband, Manuel Davis; one son, Stanley Davis; two daughters, Gwendolyn Davis and Dorothy Davis; mother, Beatrice Anderson; three brothers, Jonathan, Assa Lee and Michael; three sisters, Juanita, Dorretta and Angela; grandchildren, Shaquanna, Manuel, Stanley, Trey, Torrence, Ebony, and Ivory.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
Funeral arrangements were directed by Reese Funeral Home in Thomasville.
Edward Vaiden Dozier
Edward Vaiden Dozier, 77, of Thomasville died June 3, 2006 at Southwest Alabama Medical Center in Thomasville. Funeral services were held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville on Monday, June 5 at 4 p.m. with Minister Adam Andrews officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Thomasville.
Mr. Dozier was the long time owner and operator of Dozier Oil Company in Thomasville and was a member of the Thomasville Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Dozier of Grove Hill and Mark Dozier of Thomasville; three daughters, Charlotte Luker and Elaine Cline, both of Thomasville and Kathy White of Enterprise; one sister, Ida Bea Lowry of Montgomery; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Brian Luker, Brandon Cline, Wayne Dozier, Billy White, Chase Dozier, Russell Gunter, Chase Tucker and Perry Dailey.
Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Hepstall, Gerald Corgill, Billy Dozier, Frank Dozier, Gene Armistead, Raymond Chunn, Bruce Cogle, Van Phillips, Gerald Smith, Blanton Reid, Bobby Gibson, Square Sims, T.D. Cline, Shane Morgan, Dick Irons, Wesley Dozier, Philip Dozier, Slater Lowry, Jesse Galbraith, Billy Hicks, J.R. Overstreet and past and present employees of Dozier Oil Company.

James Eugene Isbell
James Eugene Isbell, 23, of Slidell, La. died Saturday, May 13, 2006. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 17 at 11 a.m. at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell. Interment followed in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eugene and Betty A. Isbell, James F. Camper and Margaret Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Vicknair Isbell; mother, Colleen Camper Avritt of Thomasville; father and step-mother, Jerry Wayne and Judy Isbell; step-father, Rex Avritt of Pine Hill; brother, Patrick D. (Denise) Isbell of Thomasville; one step-brother, Lary S. Abshire; three step-sisters, Karen Anderson of Thomasville, Donna M. Abshire and Tonya K. Rimmer; and one step-son, Zachary Frost of Slidell.

Herman King
Herman King ("Bro"), of New York City, N.Y. died Friday, May 26, 2006 at Mt. Vernon Hospital in Mt. Vernon, New York.
Mr. King was born in Thomasville on Oct. 30, 1943 to the late Richard and Mazie Dixon King. Herman was a 1962 graduate of A.L. Martin High School in Thomasville and later moved to New York City. He was an employee of the New York Transit Authority for 25 years, and was scheduled to retire in May 2006. Herman interrupted his career to serve his Country in the United States Marine Corps. While in Vietnam, he was wounded, and was later awarded the "Purple Heart" Campaign Metal for acts of bravery and heroism.
He was preceded in death by his one daughter: Robin King; one sister, Minnie L. King Anderson; three brothers: Richard King, Leroy King, and Horace King.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred King; one son: Darryl King of California; two step-children: Robin Davis of Georgia, and DuWayne Timmons of New York; one sister: Dorothy King of Ram stein, Germany; two brothers: Robert (Della) King of Charlotte, N. C., and Leonard (Ruby) King of Columbus, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements were directed by Unity Funeral Chapel in New York.
Helen Morrissette Weatherly
Helen Morrissette Weatherly, 48, of Chance died May 29, 2006 at the Southwest Alabama Medical Center in Thomasville. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 3 at 12 noon at Chance Baptist Church with Rev. Charley Marshall officiating. Interment followed in Fellowship Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Ozell Weatherly of Chance; mother, Cleo Morrissette of Chance; sisters, Esther Kidd, Rosetta Morrissette and Linda (Curtis) Chapman, all of Thomasville, JoAnn (Assalee) Anderson of Chance and Brenda (Stanley) McCaskey of Pine Hill; and brother, Jerry Morrissette of Packers Bend.
