Alecia C. Blanks of Thomasville, a student in the School of Health-Related Professions at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), was named to the dean's list for the spring 2006 term.

To qualify for the dean's list, a student must attend school full-time and earn an overall total grade-point average of 3.6 to 3.9 on a 4.0 scale.

UAB encourages academic excellence through the publication of honor rolls, scholarship awards and the UAB Honors Program.
