Te'Nya Daikevia Bizzell

Te'Nya Daikevia Bizzell, infant of Dixons Mills died October 1, 2006 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis. Graveside services were held October 7 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Deas officiating in the Polly Robinson Cemetery in Dixons Mills.

Survivors include her father, Terry Dorsett Bizzell of Vineland; mother, Cyncherly Lenae Lockett of Dixons Mills; grandmothers, Lela Lockett of Dixons Mills and Lenora Pritchett of Vineland; grandfathers, Harry L. Pritchett of Vineland and Mike Lockett of Dixons Mills; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements were directed by Reese Funeral Home in Thomasville.

Roberta Carson Champion

Roberta Carson Champion, of Thomasville died September 28, 2006 in Mobile. Funeral services were held October 7 at 1 p.m. at New Hope No. 1 Baptist Church with Rev. Luther Edwards officiating. Interment followed in Airmount Cemetery.

Mrs. Champion was a native of Wilcox County and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ruth Hosea.

Survivors include her husband, L. C. Champion; two sons, Lenny Champion, Jr. and Kevin Champion, both of Sunny South; one daughter, Rose (Willie) Dunning of Selma; one brother, Roosevelt (Helen) Carson of Akron, Ohio; three sisters, Peggy (Louis) Wilson of Huntington, N. Y., Bobbie (Raymond) Norwood and Gloria (Larry) Williams, both of Sunny South; three grandchildren, Aleisha Breanna Dunning, Jamirah Bennett and Desiree Bettis; four sisters-in-law, Bessie Tate, Dorothy Pope, Estelle Champion, all of Thomasville and Willie Dean (Dennis) Harper of Sunny South; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were her nephews.

Flower attendants were her nieces.

Funeral arrangements were directed by Reese Funeral Home in Thomasville.

James Mason Cleveland

James Mason Cleveland, 68, of Thomasville died September 30, 2006 at a Mobile hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 7 at 12 noon at the Thomasville Church of God in Christ with Bishop Peter Wren officiating.

Mr. Cleveland was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Fairmont Hall Lodge #92 Free and Accepted Masons and was retired from the Department of Defense as a computer analyst at the Pentagon.

Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl (Alvin) Tucker, Cynthia (Roger) Fields and Crystal Ansari, all of Maryland; former wife and caregiver, Mildred Cleveland Kennedy of Thomasville; five grandchildren; and one sister, Cynthia Glenn.

Funeral arrangements were directed by Thomasville Memorial Funeral Home in Thomasville.

Bobby Darrin Hayes

Bobby Darrin Hayes, 44, of Dixons Mills died September 28, 2006. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 7 at the El Shaddai AOH Church of God in Dixons Mills with Elder Cornelius Bryant, Jr. officiating. Interment followed in Shady Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Surginer.

Mr. Hayes was a truck driver employed by J & J Asphalt Supply in Thomasville. He was a member of the Church of God Pentecostal in Choctaw Bluff.

Survivors include his mother, Annie Hayes of Surginer; father, Billy Gildersleeve of Buffalo, N.Y.; brothers, Carl (Priscilla) Hayes of Gainestown and Lamar Gildersleeve of Buffalo; sisters, Lavette (Albert) Richards of Stockton, Calif. and Loretta Gildersleeve of Fairfield, Calif.; grandfather, McAdoo Gildersleeve of Mobile; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers were cousins and friends.

Flowerbearers were cousins and friends.

Honorary pallbearers were uncles and the Marengo High School Class of 1979.

Honorary flowerbearers were aunts and the Class of 1979.

Funeral arrangements were directed by Mosley's Funeral Home in Thomasville.

Maria L. Kiker

Maria L. Kiker, 81, of Robertsdale died Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at Robertsdale Health Care Center in Robertsdale. Funeral services were held at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 7 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Ralph Edmonds officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Kiker was born in Czechoslavakia on Sept. 19, 1925 and was a former resident of Thomasville.

Survivors include one daughter, Norma Davis of Daphne; two sisters, Erna Sitnik of Stoney Creek, Canada and Heidi Koe of Cambridge, Canada; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were Joey Davis, Lee Davis, Jimmy Clyde Edmonds, James Edmonds, Charles Edmonds, Duane Edmonds, Greg Parten, Barry Parten and Rodger Edmonds.

Honorary pallbearers were Bob Amos, Lee Cochran and Ted Cornelius.

Funeral arrangements were directed by O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville.
