CCHS JV defeats THS JV
By Charlie Anderson
Contributing Writer

In what amounted to a defensive struggle between the Clarke County High School JV team and the Thomasville High School JV team, the Bulldogs turned a 52-yard run and a two-point conversion in the second quarter into an 8-0 win over the Tigers.

The game, which was played in Thomasville on Monday, October 9, was a very physical game with the defenses of both teams controlling play throughout most of the contest.

Both teams had an opportunity in the redzone that ended with no points and had it not been for the breakaway run by the CCHS tailback the game could easily have ended in regulation knotted at 0-0.

The Thomasville JV will be in action again on Monday, October 23 when they play Demopolis in the second game of a Middle School/JV double header. The first game of the two game slate is set for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
