The Thomasville High School Lady Tiger Volleyball team, currently being led by Coach Danielle Morton, who is filling in for Coach LaTonya Woods, who was seriously injured in an automobile accident two weeks back, has won three matches in the last two weeks and has done so with a passion.

In all three of the best three out of five matches the Lady Tigers took care of their opponent in three straight games.

The first victory came on Wednesday, September 27 when the Lady Tigers hosted the Ladies from Choctaw County High School and defeated them 25-11, 25-15 and 25-10. They followed that home win up with two on the road beating the Lady Dawgs of Sweet Water High School 25-13, 25-15 and 25-12 on Tuesday, October 3, and then the Lady Tigers of Demopolis High School 25-20, 26-24 and 25-18 on Wednesday, October 4.

Dedicating the remainder of their season to Coach Woods the Lady Tigers were scheduled to play three regular season matches this week before moving into area and regional play next week. On the docket this week was a three team match with Monroe County and Millry coming to Thomasville on Tuesday, October 10 followed by another home match with Selma on Wednesday, October 11; and then a match on the road against Sumter Co. on Thursday, October 12.

The area competition is slated to begin on Tuesday, October 17 with the region competition set for Saturday, October 21.
