Our View The last weekend in October is shaping up to be a busy one in Thomasville. Things get started Saturday, Oct. 28 with the third annual Ghost Walk in downtown Thomasville. The Ghost Walk has so far been an unqualified success and it looks like this year's edition is going to be even bigger and better. You'll barely have time to catch your breath when the Carson & Barnes Circus rolls into town around dawn Sunday, Oct. 29. Carson & Barnes claims to be the biggest big top on earth and the circus is sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Police Wild Turkey Lodge #42 here in Thomasville. Some proceeds from the event will go to help the lodge with its programs supporting the law enforcement officers in Thomasville and other programs like scholarships the lodge provides. Sure, its easy to complain that there's nothing to do in small towns, but you won't have that on your side in two weeks. So, get out of the house and go have a good time close to home with some good family-oriented entertainment.
