The Thomasville High School Lady Tiger Volleyball team ended their regular season this past week with wins over Monroe County, Escambia County and Selma.

In a tri-match with Monroe County and Escambia County on Tuesday, October 10, the Lady Tigers took two straight games from Monroe County 25-15 and 25-12 and then defeated Escambia County 25-18 and 25-21. In the third match of the day the Lady Tigers of Monroe County got the best of the Lady Blue Devils of Escambia County.

On Tuesday, October 11, the Lady Tigers hosted the Lady Saints of Selma High School and defeated them in the best three out of five match 25-18, 25-13, and 25-22.

With the regular season complete the Lady Tigers were scheduled to host the area tournament on Tuesday, October 17 bringing both Escambia County and Monroe County back to Thomasville. By virtue of the Thomasville's Ladies going undefeated in the regular season against these two area teams, they drew a bye in the first match of the tournament and will play the winner of the Escambia County - Monroe County match to determine the area winner and runner-up. With the bye the Lady Tigers automatically qualify for the Regional tournament that is scheduled for Saturday, October 21, but their seeding will be based on how they finish in the area tournament, as the area winner or the area runner-up. The location of the regional tournament was yet to be determined.
