Crystal Coston joining Athletes in Action Crystal Coston wants to use her skills on the hardwood as a platform to share her faith. Later this month, the former University of Mobile player will get a chance to do exactly that when she joins nine other former college basketball players from across the United States to play for the 2006 Athletes in Action Fall Exhibition team. Oct. 26 through Nov. 14, Coston and her teammates will tour college campuses from the U.S. to Canada with Athletes in Action, the sports ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. During the three-week tour, Athletes in Action will play competitive games against NCAA Division I teams, including Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Syracuse and Michigan, among others. The team will also play Windsor University in Ontario, Canada. While involved with the team, Coston will have the opportunity to use her love of basketball to grow in and tell others about her Christian faith with opponents and fans alike. Athletes in Action regularly uses the unique platform of sport to help people around the world with questions of faith. "I'm looking forward to meeting and interacting with others who love sports while growing spiritually. I want to grow closer to God and be able to share my faith with other athletes and students with ease," says Coston. Based out of Xenia, Ohio, Athletes in Action has been sending men's and women's teams of this nature for almost three decades, often playing nationally ranked teams on their exhibition tour.
