Obituaries

Nell Virginia Hall

Nell Virginia Hall, 75, of Linden died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis. Funeral services were held at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Daniel Gandy and Rev. Andy Mims officiating. Interment followed at New Octagon Cemetery in Linden.

Mrs. Hall was a seamstress and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Clyde Hall of Linden; two daughters, Rose (David) Houmes of Sarasota, Fla. and Sue (Mike) Sharpe of Linden; one son, Gene (Annette) Hall of Orrville; five sisters, Claudia Paparella and Jane Dunn of Thomaston, Juanita Norris of Sweet Water, Bonnie Harrison of Nicholsville and Barbara Martin of Camden; one sister-in-law, Anita Parker of Thomaston; 5 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were Shaun Lehman, Jamie Sharpe, Michael Hall, Matt Houmes, Steve Norris, Darrell Schroeder.

Honorary pallbearers were Buddy Vice, Vito Paparella, Craig Norris, Wayne Norris, Jim Norris, Tom Norris, Joe Norris, Brad Harrison, Phillip Treadgill, Charles Dunn, and the staff of Marengo Nursgin Home.

Funeral arrangements were directed by O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden.

Clara Thelma Horn Mosley

Clara Thelma Horn Mosley, 84, of Putnam died Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Beverly Place in Hueytown. Funeral services were held Friday, October 20, 11 a.m., at the chapel of Phillips Funeral Home in Gilbertown with Rev. Dennis Kennedy and Rev. Clyde Dykes officiating. Interment followed in the Old Lusk Cemetery in Toxey.

Ms. Mosley was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis L. Mosley, Sr. and two brothers, Martin Horn and Kenneth Horn.

Survivors include two sons, Curtis L. Mosley, Jr. of Meridian, Miss. and Jimmy D. (Debra) Mosley of Lusk; three daughters, Glenda (Billy) Jenkins of Vance, Janice (Donald) Gray of Needham and Janell (Roy) Campbell of Putnam; two sisters, Estelle Beard of Carthage, Miss. and Lavelle Goodwin of Barnes, Miss.; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Sidney Campbell, Donald Gray, Jr., Matthew Patton, Justin Crawford, Eric Sisson, Ricky Horn and Charles Ike Jimerson.

Honorary pallbearers were R. L. Taylor, Artis Mosley, Cleve Mosley, Norris Mosley, Jerry Horn, Bobby Horn, Glenn Beard, Joey Beard, Mark Sullivan, Bruce Burns, Dwayne Jimerson and Horace Mosley.

Funeral arrangements were directed by Phillips Funeral Home in Gilbertown.

Bobbie Sealy Quinney

Bobbie Sealy Quinney, 72, of Gallion died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis. Funeral services were held at Providence Baptist Church in Gallion on Monday, Oct. 16 at 4 p.m. with Rev. Fred Freeman and Paul Whitcomb officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Quinney was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Gallion and was a retired grocery store owner.

Survivors include two sons, Harold Dunning (Dawn) Quinney, Jr. of Gallion and Robert Jerry (Amelia) Quinney of Demopolis; two daughters, Sandra Quinney (Michael) Etheridge of Gallion and Paige Quinney (Joel) Smith of Eufaula; one sister, Fannie Pearl Crocker of Vineland; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were Jim Russell Quinney, Joe Quinney, Dale Quinney, Tony Jacobs, Charles (Buddy) Hasty, George Webb, Mike Sealy and Rex Crocker.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the Joy Sunday School Class of Providence Baptist Church.

Funeral arrangements were directed by O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden.
