If you receive a pat on the back, Pass it on to those who lack. If you receive a hug from a friend, Pass it on helping others mend. If you receive a financial lift, Pass it on to share your gift.

The weather is great I feel so much better in cold weather, but residents say they are cold. I just say wait until it snows, we will have a snowball fight, they laugh and say no.

Well I was at a convention for three days last week so I am catching up on what went on around here and praying they did what I had for them to do, you never know around here, the residents may decide they want to do something else and that is ok. I just need to know so I want tell you the wrong thing, and believe me when they read the paper and it is not right I hear about it.

Let's see I was told they had a great time reminiscing about the Good Old Days. Playing dominoes in the afternoon and word games, the outreach prayer group was here Thursday, and current events, the cooking group invited some of the residents over for lunch and everyone had a great time. RSVP played a memory game with the residents and they enjoyed that.

Then on Friday, Grove Hill Baptist Church stopped by and gave a devotional and sang for the residents and they joined right in, that afternoon the "Old Fellows" sang for the residents. What a happy time for all, it was great I'm told.

We slow down on weekends due to family and friends stopping by. They enjoyed hot chocolate and story time and mind joggers on Saturday. Then Sunday the residents do Sunday School then that afternoon Bassett Creek had church.

The residents had a full week of fun without me and that makes me happy and sad. I was at a convention learning about "Extreme Makeover in Activities and Social Services", "Quality of Life", "Motivation vs. Burnout", and much more by networking with others at the convention. If we did not have so much paper work to do maybe we could have a lot more fun.

Please if you have not stopped in to see the quilt and buy a ticket, you have until Nov. 30.
