Worthwhile Club met Oct. 11
Hostesses for the meeting were Betty Davis, Betty Heaton and Anne Hamilton. They served cake and coffee. An informative program was presented by Mary English, Director of the Child's Advocacy Center. She stated the Child's Advocacy Center started in Alabama and now there are over 500 centers in the United States. Many of the abuse cases are ages 9, 10, and 11. The center, located in Grove Hill primarily serves Clarke, Washington and Choctaw Counties. The reading of the minutes of the last meeting were read by Anne Hamilton. Rosa Lee Overstreet, treasurer, gave the treasurer's report. A business meeting followed. The meeting adjourned with Levenia Brown leading in the reading of the club collect.
The monthly meeting of the Worthwhile Club was held on Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. in the club room. There were 21 members present and one guest, Mary English. Lora Horn was welcomed as a new member.
