Light Reflections
God has a better way to live
Randy
Walker

On occasion our family will sit around the table and play a game called "Trivia Pursuit". You are asked a question about life which you try to answer correctly.

It is difficult to brain storm and come up with the right answer. The more you think about the question the easier it is to give a logical guess. Still the process is humbling as you realize that you know very little about life. Just when you think you know the answers the rules change. This game of life is a cycle of headaches, trial and error and frustrating moments of trying to fix a problem. We spend most of the time rising on Monday, looking for Friday and forgetting as much stuff as possible.

Our response is can be confusing as we ask "Can you repeat the question" or "I don't know ask someone else." We don't have the time or patience to search for the right answer. Man is a master at running from responsibility. He can be creative at making excuses, hiding behind fear and blaming the whole process on someone else. We live in a world that embraces the "easy way" out. A journey filled with neglect and consuming failure. A life burdened with all the wrong answers.

God has a better way to live. He has the right answer to the question of life. He provided the necessary component for a meaningful life. He is the source of joy, salvation, and truth. His love is expressed in the gift of His son, Jesus Christ. Since the beginning of creation, God has desired the best for His creation. Jesus came that we might have abundant life. His scars fill in the empty blanks to living.

God is reaching out to us with purpose and hope. We have a choice to accept or reject His divine plan. Our decision determines the path of hope or despair.

We can connect to God's power or depend upon this world to satisfy our soul. Today is a great time to let God take control of your life. The search for the answers can end today. Jesus is the answer to living the game of life. Life is not a "Trivia Pursuit" when God is in control. Our perspective changes as God leads the way.

We stop trying to consume everything that comes our way and begin caring. What a joy to know God is within you working His plan for your life. God knows what is best for us. Have a great week by making the right choice, choose Jesus first. It will make a world of difference.
