School News Students enjoy fall festivities
The Halloween celebrations are over now and a new month has arrived. The joys of Christmas will soon begin to fill the air. The Christmas season is always a busy time for students at Thomasville High School. National Honor Society members should keep in mind that they will be ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. The dates have not been announced, but keep those calendars clear to pencil in your time and location of ringing the bell! Also, the NHS will be sponsoring an Alabama vs. Auburn Blood Bowl on November 7, 2006. The blood drive will be held in the Library at Thomasville High School from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to participate in this community event. It is asked that all donors bring a valid driver's license, donor card, or two alternative forms of ID. All donors will be given the chance to win two Delta Airline tickets! Furthermore, each donor will receive a free t-shirt for helping save the lives of others. Any high school girl who is interested in being a THS Diamond Doll for the 2007 baseball season can sign up in the office. Seniors, the Balfour Representative will be at the school on November 8th at 8:00 a.m. to take orders for senior supplies. Be sure to bring your money on this day to purchase supplies. The play, "Glass", will be performed on November 2, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the Cafeteria. This play will be taken to district competition in Mobile on Saturday, November 4th. Good Luck! Prom fees are still $40. Do not forget to pay in advance for prom. Prices will increase before too long! Congratulations to the Thomasville Tigers. They defeated Monroe County last Friday night with a score of 47-6. Way to go, Tigers! TIGER FANS! The big game against CCHS will be this Friday, November 3rd. This game has always been an exciting one, as Thomasville and Grove Hill have always been huge rivals. Be sure to come out and support the Tigers at Clarke County High School as they battle with the Bulldogs. GOOD LUCK TIGERS! Until next time, I am Hannah Etheridge. Have a great week!
