Veterans Day Ceremony is Friday
     Veterans Day, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. VFW Post 5106 will present a Veterans Day Ceremony at the Grove Hill Cemetery alongside North of Clarke County High School. Thomasville Girl Scout Troop 57 will participate in the ceremony.

New Restaurant to open at ARHC
     The Alabama Rural Heritage Center announces the opening of Mama Nems Restaurant on Sunday, November 12th. Hours are 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.: a brunch menu will be featured which showcases original recipes by Chef Robert Cawley of Montgomery.

     Smith Mr. and Mrs. Hampton Brent Smith (nee Brooke Bedwell) of Tuscaloosa announce the birth of a son, Jackson Brent, Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006, 12:36 a.m. at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa. He weighed 6 lbs., 10 ozs. and was 19 1/4 inches long.
