New Restaurant to open at ARHC The Alabama Rural Heritage Center announces the opening of Mama Nems Restaurant on Sunday, November 12th. Hours are 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.: a brunch menu will be featured which showcases original recipes by Chef Robert Cawley of Montgomery. Later on they will start opening on Friday nights and after Christmas they will start opening on Saturday nights. Different menus each night. One of the items on the menu "Black Belt Eggs Benedict" features Good Ole Thomaston BBQ and the Pepper Jelly Omelet showcases Mama Nems Pepper Jelly. Marengo County's own Gillian Cramer is the official Mama Nems Chef. For more information, call the Heritage Center at 334-627-3388. The Heritage Gift Shoppe will open each Sunday noon until 2:30 PM. Mama Nems is located at 133 6th Avenue in Thomaston on the campus of old Marengo County High School.
