Births Smith Mr. and Mrs. Hampton Brent Smith (nee Brooke Bedwell) of Tuscaloosa announce the birth of a son, Jackson Brent, Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006, 12:36 a.m. at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa. He weighed 6 lbs., 10 ozs. and was 19 1/4 inches long. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Grady Bedwell of Jackson, Carol Smith of Tuscaloosa and the late Lawrence Brent Smith. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John J. Jackson of Thomasville, Elizabeth Tennyson of Tuscaloosa and the late Verdo Brent Smith. Great-great-grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bedwell and the late Mr. and Mrs. Grinstead.
