Clarke County Alumni Chapter of ASU to meet

The Clarke County Alumni Chapter of Alabama State University will have its monthly meeting Thursday, Nov. 16 at 5 p.m. at the Jackson City Hall.

Clarke County Bassmasters starts second year

Clarke County Bassmaster will start its second year of membership and is eagerly looking for new members! The club had a very successful first year and is hoping to grow and continue with another great year.

T'ville schools to close early Nov. 17

Thomasville City School will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 17 for the Cleburne County playoff game.

CitiFinancial holds food drive

CitiFinancial will be doing a network wide food drive, taking place from Wednesday, Nov. 1 until Saturday, Nov. 18. They will collect food in their office at 130 Alabama Ave., Thomasville.

All food donated will go to the Department of Youth Services (DYS). CitiFinancial office hours are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

CCERA to meet Nov. 16

The Clarke County Education Retiree's Association will meet Nov. 16 in Coffeeville at New Faith Baptist Church. All education retirees are encouraged to attend this Thanksgiving meeting at 11:45 a.m.

Bake Sale to be held at Bank of Pine Hill

The Advisory Board of the Bank of Pine Hill will have a Bake Sale in the lobby of the bank on Friday, Nov. 17, beginning at 9 a.m. All proceeds will go to the Town of Pine Hill Beautification Committee. Call for special orders.

SWAIA to meet Nov. 21

The Southwest Alabama Improvement Association (SWAIA) will hold a public meeting Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. at Jackson Steak House. SAMC Auxiliary holds Jewelry Sale

The Southwest Alabama Medical Center Auxiliary will sponsor a Masquerade $5 Jewelry Sale Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 27 & 28 from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. in the New Lobby of the Thomasville Nursing Home. Cash, check and credit cards accepted. Proceeds will benefit Southwest Alabama Medical Center.

Girls Fastpitch Clinic is

Dec. 9

Girls Fastpitch Clinic for grades 7-12 will be Saturday, Dec. 9 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Nathan Stephens Softball Complex. The clinic is hosted by the Thomasville High School Lady Tigers Softball Boosters and is instructed by Alabama Southern Community College Softball team. The cost is $25 per person or $20 per person for teams of 10 or more. Lunch provided: hamburgers, chips and drink. To register see form on page 4B.

Dixons Mills Christmas Parade is Dec. 16

The Dixons Mills Christmas Parade is Saturday, Dec. 16 starting at 10 a.m. The parade is sponsored by Splendid Harmony Social and Savings Club and the Dixons Mills Volunteer Fire Department. The entry fee for the parade is $25.
