Arson arrest made after trailer fire

Thomasville FireFighters work to put out the blaze at this mobile home fire Wednesday, Nov. 8 on Martin Luther King Street.

Thomasville Police arrested and charged Laderrick Andwan Chapman with arson Nov. 8.

Chapman is charged with starting the mobile home fire on Martin Luther King Street that same day.

The home belonged to the mother of his girlfriend, area residents said.

Chapman was also charged with bad checks.

Other arrests made by the Thomasville Police Department include Heath Barette Snider, charged with possession of a controlled substance and theft of property, Sophia E. Champion - FTA, Dyesia L. Law - theft of property, Bobby McClure - domestic violence, Kimberly N. Dement - FTA, Darren K. Calhoun - FTA, Robert A. Ballinger - Assault, 3rd degree.
