Camden Thanksgiving Service is Nov. 23

United State Senator Jeff Sessions, who calls Camden his hometown, will be the speaker at the Thanksgiving Day service on Thursday, Nov. 23 at the Camden A.R.P. Church, 209 Broad Street in Camden.

The 40-minute services will begin at 10 a.m. Held on the actual day set aside by presidential proclamation "to assemble in places of worship to give Thanks to almighty God for his great blessings on our nation," the service carries on a tradition going back to Berkley Hundred Plantation in Virginia in 1619 and Plymouth, Mass. in 1621. A moment will be give for worshipers to voice their thanks, if they so desire.
