Peterman Festival planned for Saturday

On Saturday, Nov. 18 this tiny turn of the century southern railroad town will host their 23rd Annual Arts and Crafts Festival from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Now in their 23rd year, this event has become popular among festival goers.

Some 100 booths arranged along the railroad track and among historic buildings will be filled with an assortment of arts and crafts - baskets, ceramics, quilts, clothing, garden art, pottery, painting, photography, knives, floral arrangements, wood crafts to name just few. Crafters from Alabama and surroundings states. Foods to be sold include Brunswick stew, collard greens, crackling bread, baked goods, taco in a sack, Hoppin John, nachos/cheese, funnel cakes, pork skins, hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks, polish sausages and BBQ sandwiches.

Tony and Hazel Parry of London England will be on hand to meet and greet people and will be serving authentic English foods - hot tea with scones and welsh cakes served with clotted cream and English jam. Entertainment is planned throughout the day - singers, cloggers, country, religious, etc.
