Worthwhile Club met Nov. 8

The monthly meeting of the Worthwhile Club was held on Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. in the club room. The hostesses for the meeting were Ann Harrison, Maggie Smith and Doreen Hawk. They served cheesecake and coffee.
The meeting was called to order by the President, Jane Eriksen. Eighteen members were present and three new members were welcomed into the club. Levinna Brown led in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and Ann Harrison gave an interesting devotion.
Order of business included the reading of the minutes by Secretary Ann Hamilton and the Treasurers report was given by Rosea Overstreet. The club voted to give donations to Almost Home and D.Y.S. They also made plans to participate in the Christmas Parade. Our annual Christmas party will be held at GainesRidge on Friday, Dec. 15. Jeanette Bethea introduced our guest speaker, Barbara Ford. She gave a very informative talk on Globalization.
The meeting adjourned with the reading of the club collect.
