New 911 center moving along It was noted during the Clarke County 911 Board meeting Monday that there was a high turnover of part-time employees at the 911 center. In several cases, once the employees received training, at the county's expense, they were leaving for other jobs. It was suggested that employees sign a contract indicating they would reimburse training expenses if they left for another dispatch job within a certain time limit after receiving training. County Attorney Bruce Wilson was asked to look into the matter. Other business All equipment was reported to be in good working order. Renovations for the new 911 center are moving along. During October Clarke County answered 1,271 911 calls, responded to 477 calls for service, ran 517 drivers license numbers and 293 tag numbers.
Jackson Police Department answered 70 911 calls and Thomasville Police Department answered 169 911 calls.
