Fuller awared DTU membership

Ashley Jordan Fuller
In October Ashley Jordan Fuller, owner and instructor of Jordan School of Dance in Grove Hill and Demopolis, was awarded a Dance Teachers United Association Membership. In order for a dance teacher to receive this membership they must be sponsored by a current member and comply with the standards in dance education set forth by Dance Teachers United (DTU).

DTU is a non-profit educational dance training organization. DTU is one of the largest and finest independent dance associations in the south, including and representing members from seven states. DTU strives to enhance and enable the status of dance professionals maintaining a dignity of manner in behavior and presentation for teaching and dance services. DTU members are expected to observe the highest standards in the field of the art of dance. DTU members will engage only in the highest forms of teaching and dance services to bring prestige to the profession of dance.

The Jordan Dancers, Jordan School of Dance Competition Company, will travel to Hattiesburg, Miss. in February to compete in the Dance Teacher United Dance competition. The dancers will also participate in the DTU workshop, featuring nationally and internationally famous choreographers.

Ashley Jordan Fuller is the areas only Dance Teacher United Member. She is an active part of DTU, involved in continuing education for herself and her students.
