Girl Scouts are selling

The Girl Scout Troop 57 is selling candy and nuts as part of the Girl Scouts of the Deep South Council’s Fall Product Sale. the Tigers is today

Today, Dec. 7 at 8 a.m. there will be a Pep Rally in front of Thomasville High School and at 8:45 a.m. all Tiger fans are asked to gather on Gates Drive to send the Tigers to the State Championship game in Birmingham.

Pine Hill Tree of Lights

dedication is today

The 15th Annual Dedication of the Tree of Lights will be held in the lobby of the Bank of Pine Hill Thursday afternoon, Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. Angels can be purchased for the tree for a minimum of $5 in memory or honor of someone. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. Christmas Tea to be held at Wilcox Central High School

in Camden

Everyone is invited to a Christmas Tea at Wilcox Central High School in Camden on Dec. 10 from 4 until 6 p.m. sponsored by Wilcox County Education Retirees Association.

A donation will be greatly appreciated for the Wilcox County Education Retirees Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship will be presented to worthy students who will attend a college, university of trade school.

Sons of Confederate

Veterans to meet

Clarke County Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans will meet for their Annual Christmas meeting Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. at Gloria’s Pour House Café in Grove Hill. Dutch treat!

Anyone interested in joining is invited to attend. For more information call Mike Hinson at 334-636-5047. The group meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Helms House in Grove Hill.

Clarke County Bassmasters

Club will meet Dec. 12

The Clarke County Bassmasters Club will have an open enrollment meeting on Dec. 12 at Alabama Southern Community College in the Library Building at 6 p.m.

If you are interested in joining a great and exciting bass fishing club come to the open enrollment meeting. There is a great year planned for 2006- 2007 and hope to see you there! T’ville Public Library

Santa Claus is coming to Thomasville Public Library, Thursday, December 14th, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Come in pj’s and bring your camera.

“Powder Puff” football

game is Dec. 14

There will be a “Powder Puff” football game at Thomasville High School on Thursday, Dec. 14 at 5 p.m. This is sponsored by the THS annual staff and will feature senior and junior girls.

The public is invited to join in the fun.

Dixons Mills Christmas

Parade is Dec. 16

The Dixons Mills Christmas Parade is Saturday, Dec. 16 starting at 10 a.m.

The parade is sponsored by Splendid Harmony Social and Savings Club and the Dixons Mills Volunteer Fire Department. The entry fee for the parade is $25.

Packer’s Bend Christmas

Parade is Dec. 16

The Packer’s Bend Annual Christmas Parade is Saturday, Dec. 16 at 10 a.m. Line up for floats is 9 a.m. at the A.O.H. Church. The Grand Marshall will be World Championship Boxer, Roy Jones, Jr.
