School News
To add to the excitement of getting out of school for the holidays, the students at THS are all anxiously awaiting the State Championship game which will be played tonight at 7 p.m. in Birmingham. Students and faculty at the school have really shown their Tiger Spirit this week by decorating the halls and encouraging the players and coaches with good luck souvenirs and goodies. The Thomasville Tigers have proven to be the best 4A team in the South and will play Guntersville at Legion Field to battle for the State title. This past week they beat Andalusia 42-26, guaranteeing them a spot in the championship game. The Tigers have not advanced to the Championship since 1988. Congratulations!!! The city has supported Thomasville throughout the playoffs by traveling many miles to cheer them to victory. Their support is greatly appreciated by the players and coaches. Be sure to make plans to come out and cheer our Tigers to the ultimate victory tonight against Guntersville. TAKE STATE, TIGERS! School will be dismissed at 10:45 a.m. this Thursday due to the championship game. There will be no school Friday. This day will be made up later in the year.
