Locals graduate from MSU More than 1,200 Mississippi State students are candidates for degrees at the conclusion of the university’s 2006 fall semester. Commencement exercises are Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. in Humphrey Coliseum. Honor graduates include all bachelor-degree candidates with exceptional scholastic averages and at least half the total required course hours earned at MSU. Their specific levels of recognition and the minimum required averages for each, based on a 4.0 scale, include: summa cum laude; 3.8; magna cum laude, 3.6; and cum laude, 3.4.
Local degree candidates are: MBA (Master of Business Administration): Amanda L. Cooley and Mark F. Simon, both of Thomasville.
