Local principals attend leadership conference
The Alabama Staff Development Council and The Alabama Regional In-Service Centers in Collaboration with the Hope Foundation held a conference in Birmingham. The main focus of the conference was Failure Is Not an Option and six principles that guide student achievement in high performing schools. A team from Wilcox County School system attended the conference and participated in group discussion with teams from other school system in Alabama. Among the teams, there were two outstanding speakers Dr. Crystal Kuykendall a National Bestselling Author and Educator and Stephen Peters an Educator and author of the book Do You Know Enough About Me to Teach Me?
Teachers at F.S. Ervin Elementary School in Pine Hill will participate in a book study on Failure Is Not an Option by Alan M. Blankstein.
