Spiritual Reflections
Jesus gave sight to the blind, healed the leper, made the lame walk, and even raised the dead. His love, His righteousness, and His power made evil men jealous and angry. They devised a plan to kill Him. He was arrested, falsely accused, tried, and convicted, in an illegal trial. He could have stopped it all at any time, but He did not, because it was not really their plan. It was God’s plan, to save man from sin’s penalty of death. So they, mocked Him, beat Him, and then put Him to death, by nailing Him to a cross. He hung there until His suffering was enough to pay for the sin of the whole world, and then He gave up His life. Some friends took Him down from the cross and buried Him. On the third day He arose from the dead. He proved His power over sin and death, and now He is seated at the right hand of God the Father, making intercession for those who believe. God did this in love so that all who confess their sin, and turn to Jesus in faith, will be saved, and spend eternity in heaven. Never forget that the Jesus of the cradle is also the Jesus of the cross, and when you think of the “Babe in a manger,” remember the rest of the story.
You see, He is coming again, see you in Church.
