When Leo Moore started cutting hair in Thomasville in 1935, Coca-Cola's were five cents a bottle and a cut at his uncle's barber shop cost 35 cents. "Busy as bees" describes our students at Thomasville High School this homecoming week. Monday our students flounced around school in tacky clothing to show off their school spirit. The Thomasville Tigers played host to the Southside of Selma Panthers this past Friday, October 19. When the final whistle had blown in the game, the Tigers walked off the turf at D. F. Anderson Field with a 31 - 20 victory. With the win the Tigers clinched the Region 1 title improving their season mark to 7 - 1 and their region record to 6 - 0. More...
Jean Cooper Edge Jean Cooper Edge, 73, of Foley, died Monday, October 15, 2007, at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley. Mrs. Edge was born Feb. 22, 1934 in Empire. She worked for 30 years in civil service before going to work for NASA in 1977. More...
