MLK Day activities planned

Residents in Thomasville are invited to participate in the Martin Luther King Jr. Day ceremonies Monday.

Participants will meet at Johnson Shopping Center on Tallahatta Springs Road at 9:30 a.m.

From there, the group will have a motorcade to New Hope Baptist Church.

Rev. John Dees will be the speaker.

Rev. James Curry is the pastor at New Hope.

Velma Rowden is the president of the Dravitan Club, organizers of the event.
