Magnolia Civic Club plans BBQ The Magnolia Civic Club will sell BBQ by the pound at the Magnolia Community Center on Saturday, Jan. 20 from 10 a.m. until. The meat will be freshly cooked by Paul Thompson in the well-known Leroy Thompson tradition. The cost of the BBQ is $5 per lb. Call in advance and your order will be bagged and tagged and ready for you to pick up. Club members and volunteers come early; friends stop by anytime. Diamond Club to meet The Thomasville Diamond Club will meet Monday, Jan. 22 at 6:00 p.m. in the Thomasville Middle School Cafeteria. SAMC is weigh-in site Anyone outside the hospital that would like to form a team for Scale Back Alabama should go to scalebackalabama. com for all information. Southwest Alabama Medical Center will be an official weigh-in site for the competition. They will be open for all outside teams on January 22 at 8 a.m. and March 19 at 8 a.m. for your official weighin. All teams must weigh in at an official site on these two dates. C.A.A.S.T. meeting set Citizens Against Alcohol Sales in Thomasville (C.A.A.S.T.) will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 6:30 p.m. This meeting is open to all concerned citizens. The meeting will take place in the Fellowship Center of the Thomasville Baptist Church. Clarke County Cattleman's Assc. to meet The Clarke County Cattleman's Association will hold it's annual dinner meeting Saturday, February 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Clarke Prep School in Grove Hill. Dr. Tony Frazier of Auburn University will be the guest speaker. Beauty Review 2007 is Feb. 16 & 17 Beauty Review 2007 is Friday and Saturday, Feb. 16 & 17. Any students interested in participating should register with Mrs. Barlow in room 211 before school 7 a.m. until 7:20 a.m. or after school from 3 until 3:30 p.m. When you register you may purchase four tickets. Registration and ticket sales will end Jan. 18. Registration is $25 and tickets are $8 each.
