Bradford, Ross gets RSVP awards

The Southwest Alabama RSVP held their Annual Awards and Recognition Dinner on November 30, 2006 at the Pineview Baptist Church in Thomasville.

The "2006 RSVP Volunteer of the Year Award" was given to Maxine Bradford of Clarke County. Ms. Bradford worked numerous hours on several projects that include the Southwest Chamber of Commerce, The Supplier's Conference, and The Salvation Army. Thomasville Elementary School Tutor, the Thomasville Christmas Parade, the Country Oaks Assisted Living Facility exercise coach and other "special projects" for RSVP.

Bobbie Ross of Clarke County was presented the first time "RSVP Volunteer Hall of Fame Award." She has been a member of RSVP since 1982 and has served in numerous areas over the past years as well as now.

The individual receiving this award demonstrates knowledge about the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program and what the organization represents; an individual with unwavering years of service in all aspects of the program and who has shown loyalty as well as dedication to furthering the cause of volunteering.
