TMS Scholar's Bowl met Jan. 23

Thomasville held its annual Scholar's Bowl meet in the T.M.S. library on Tuesday, January 23. Leroy Middle School and Jackson Middle School were invited to the meet, but only Leroy came. Thomasville's 'A' Team led in the 1st Round with a whopping 215 points to 120 points. They continued their lead in the 2nd Round with a total of 250 and Leroy had 165. Thomasville finished off with 210 and Leroy 220. Then Thomasville's 'B' Team led in the 1st round with 160 and Leroy with 200. Next, Thomasville ruled the game in the 2nd round with 135 and Leroy with 85. Finally Thomasville finished it off with a tie; both teams had 140 points but the tiebreaker resulted in TMS winning all 3 rounds! Thomasville had a complete total of 1,110 points and Leroy left with a total of 930 points. Congratulations to T.M.S. Scholar's Bowl for its remarkable game on Tuesday.

Ryder Digmon was the top scorer with a total of 95 points! Montana Prescott was in hot pursuit with a total of 85 points and not far behind was Sally White with a total of 75! Congratulations to these three outstanding players!

Scoring for the "B" Team was Ryder Digmon, 95 points; Montana Prescott, 85 points; Jamel Dennis, 45 points; Caleb Lynn, 40 points; Joshua Cleveland, 10 points; and Bailey Hill, 5 points. Satin Spears is also a member of the "B" Team but was unable to attend. Scoring for the "A" Team was Sally White, 75 points; Michael Newton, 55 points; Collin Clardy, 45 points; Kristen Slade, 40 points; Marlee Moore, 40 points; Clay Van Wyck; 20 points; Elijah Rade, 20 points; Anna Phillips, 15 points; and Adam Sparks, 10 points.
