Valentine's Bake Sale

The Bank of Pine Hill will have a Valentine Bake Sale, Friday, Feb. 9 in the lobby of the bank. The sale begins at 9 a.m. If you have a special order, call the bank at 334-963-4343. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.

Sen. Shelby to be speak in

Grove Hill

U. S. Sen. Richard Shelby

R-Ala.) will join the residents of Clarke County for a county visit on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. The county visit, which is open to the public, will take place at Gloria's Café', located at 135 South Jackson Street in Grove Hill. This meeting is open to the public. Members of the media are encouraged to attend.

Beauty Review tickets go on

THS Beauty Review tickets will go on sale to the public on Monday, Feb. 12 starting around 6:45 a.m. in Room 211

Advocacy Center holds

Valentine fundraiser singing

The Regional Child Advocacy Center's annual Singing Valentine fundraiser will be February 14, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. There will be singers in Thomasville, Grove Hill and Jackson who will deliver a valentine in song to a loved one for a tax-deductible donation of $20 for an individual or $50 for a group. Bank of Pine Hill to print

recipe book

The Bank of Pine Hill is printing a recipe book, "Relaying the Recipes" for their Relay for Life. They will be accepting recipes until Feb. 16. After March 1 you will receive a recipe book when you make a $5 donation to the American Cancer Society.

Sweet Water Youth Baseball

to hold registration

Sweet Water Youth Baseball will have registration throughout the month of February. You may pick up a registration form at Sweet Water Town Hall or Sweet Water High School during business hours. We will have a Registration Day on February 17, 2007 at the Sweet Water High School Gym classroom from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Please bring insurance information, a copy of your child's birth certificate and a registration fee of $35.

SAMC Auxiliary to hold

scrub sale

Southwest Alabama Medical Center Auxiliary will hold a uniform scrub sale Wednesday, Feb. 21 - Thursday, Feb. 22 from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. (both days). Everyone is welcome to attend and purchase from a wide variety of uniform scrubs.
