SAMC Auxiliary met Feb. 6 at the Hill House

Southwest Alabama Medical Center Auxiliary held their monthly meeting Feb. 6 at the Hill House at 10 a.m. Rev. Jimmy O'Bryant gave an inspirational devotion.

Dr. Vic Adkison, Superintendent of Education Thomasville City Schools, and Ms. Carolyn Drinkard spoke to the group about Thomasville City School System being the first in Southwest Alabama to attempt District Accreditation. Auxiliary will have a uniform sale Feb. 21 -22, at the hospital from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.

All individuals who wear scrubs are encouraged to attend this sale.

All proceeds will go to the hospital and nursing home. Auxiliary presented a gift of appreciation to JoAnn Smyly, Programs Director at Thomasville Nursing Home, for all her hard work and support to SAMC Auxiliary and their functions. Also, a check for the oven that was purchased for the Nursing Home was presented to Ms. Smyly.

Auxiliary will sponsor a Masquerade Jewelry Sale March 30 and April 1 at the Nursing Home. Auxiliary holds monthly meetings at the Hill House the first Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m.
