Alcohol "NO" signs stolen, defaced About a dozen signs put out by the Citizens Against Alcohol Sales in Thomasville have been stolen and defaced in the past week. The signs, urging people to vote no if a vote on legalizing alcohol sales in Thomasville is held were distributed by supporters of CAAST in the previous weeks. About 300 signs were given out, said Rob Moore, the group's chairman. Some of the stolen signs have shown up in other parts of town. The moved signs were painted over with spray paint. A sign spotted by The Thomasville Times recently appeared to have the NO on the sign painted over with red spray paint and yes was painted over that in black spray paint. One member of the dry side, Joe Lolly, has had three signs stolen from his property, Moore said. "It's pretty disturbing," Moore stated. "We don't know who's behind it - it could be teenagers playing a prank. But we're not pointing fingers." One report on the vandalism has been filed with the Thomasville Police Department.
