Students at THS prepare for beauty review, Feb. 16 & 17

Second semester at Thomasville High is moving quickly. Our annual spring Beauty Review will be held this weekend Friday Feb. 16 and Saturday Feb. 17. The talent portion will perform Friday night and the top beauties will be selected on Saturday. Good Luck to all the talent and beauty contestants, we all know this year will be a success!

All Beauty Review contestants need to remember to sign up for picture slots outside Ms. Scrugss classroom, extra time slots have been added beginning at 4:30. Please pick up a packet before or after school.

Congratulations to the Students of the Month: 9th grade- Shelby Dix and James Tipton, 10th grade- Dawn Baker and Matthew Schmidt, 11th grade- Cearra Dunn and Caleb Clardy, and 12th grade- Dorien McCall and Sondra Lanier. Congratulations are in order to THS Math and Science teachers for being selected to participate in AMSTI.

Attention Freshman! Freshman class dues are $25. Please pay Mrs. Henson during 1st or 2nd lunch.

There will be a youth rally on February 24th at 6 p.m. in the THS cafeteria.

All girls who are interested in the Sonya Kovalesky Day on Sat. Feb 24th at Auburn University of Montgomery should see Mrs. Dumas. Ms. Kovalevsky is the first woman to earn a Doctorate in Mathematics in the world. Transportation, food, and prizes are free.

Seniors! Technical Scholarship applications through Alabama Southern are due March 1. A financial Aid Workshop will be held at Alabama Southern on Feb. 26.

Guided Study Hall will begin on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week from 3:15 to 4:15 ending on May 17th.

Remember students that if you come for tutoring in a certain area you will be rewarded with 5 bonus points.
