City baseball registration to be held Feb. 11, 17 Saturday, Feb. 17, is the final day for baseball, softball, and t-ball registration. Make sure to mark your calendar for this date, so your child will not be left out. Registration will be held in the council room at city hall, located at 137 Adams Ave. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you register after Saturday, Feb. 17, or at tryouts there will be a $10 late fee added. The age eligibility cut off date is April 30, 2007 for both boys and girls, mandated by Dixie Inc. For baseball, one must be at least 7 yrs. of age and no older than 14 yrs. of age on or before April 30, 2007 to be eligible to participate. For softball, one must be at least 7 yrs. of age and no older than 15 yrs. of age on or before April 30, 2007 to be eligible. For t-ball, one must be at least 3 yrs. of age and no older than 6 yrs. of age on or before April 30, 2007. If you are participating in school ball, you must still register for the city league program at registration.
You must bring the following with you to registration. The $35,00 registration fee, a copy of you birth certificate or proof of age. Parent or Guardian must be present to sign parental consent form. If you have any questions, please call the Recreation Department at 636-1159 Monday through Friday between the hours of 6 a.m. and 2 p.m.
