Leah Rawls Atkins to speak at CCHS meeting

Leah Rawls Atkins will be the speaker at the February meeting of the Clarke County Historical Society. The meeting will be held on Sunday, February 25 in the fellowship hall of the Grove Hill United Methodist Church. Dr. Atkins is the author of several books and retired as director of the Auburn University Center for Arts and Humanities. Her new book, "Developed for the Service of Alabama", The Centennial History of the Alabama Power Company is the story of the electrification of Alabama.

The lecture is funded by the Alabama Power Company and administered by the Center for Arts and Humanities in the College of Liberal Arts at Auburn University. The public is invited to attend.
