TMS opens with a win
Brett Skelton was the starter on the mound for Thomasville working three innings in which he gave up five hits and one walk while striking out five. Zack Ross followed him for the final two innings of the game and allowed only a walk while striking out four to pick up the win. At the plate Zack Day and Tyler Hayes set the pace for the Tigers with two hits each. Others contributing one hit each to the eight hit attack were Darius Bowen, Zack Ross, Billy Ruck and Brett Skelton. Day and Ross were the RBI leaders for Thomasville with two apiece. Day who had an all-round good game matched Charles Taylor in runs scored with two apiece while Harrison Lewis, Will Morgan and Ross each scored one.
On the schedule next for the TMS Tigers is a 1:00 PM game on Friday, February 23, with the middle school team from Leroy.
