Horizons edition next week

The Thomasville Times will be publishing its annual progress edition called Horizons next week.

"This is our biggest special edition every year, and it's highly anticipated by our readers and advertisers," said Editor and General Manager Arthur McLean.

This year's edition includes profiles of a number of Thomasville's working women, including entrepreneurs. It will look back to the earliest days of Thomasville, showing that the drive to expand commerce is not a recent development. From the past, Horizons will then looks to the future and how technology is impacting and shaping life in southwest Alabama. And finally, there will be the economic development section, covering the exciting changes in Thomasville's business sector.

"In addition to the many local readers who snap up copies of Horizons, the Southwest Alabama Chamber of Commerce and Thomasville's Development and Planning office order hundreds of additional copies to give to visitors to this area," McLean said.

"It takes months of hard work to put this annual edition together, but we're proud of what this little newspaper can produce for the people of Thomasville," he added.
