Read Across America
Students and teachers in grades K-3 at Sweet Water High School celebrated the 50th birthday of the book entitled "The Cat in the Hat" on Monday, March 3. Many of the students dressed up as their favorite storybook character and some wore hats made for them by the high school senior girls. The principal dressed as the cat in the hat, read and dramatized the book " Are You My Mommy." After the entertainment they were served cake and ice cream provided by Mrs. Gayle Miller and Mrs. Traci Norris. Other activities throughout the week included special readers and feasting on green eggs and ham in the classroom. The activities were exciting and enjoyable for the students.
