AREA CALENDAR The Worthwhile Club is selling Community Birthday Calendars. If you want one, contact Jane Eriksen 636-5780, Ann Hamilton 636-2783 or any club member. Williams' Pride Chapter #725, O. E. S., host Walk-athon Williams' Pride Chapter #725, O. E. S., will have their Annual Walk-a-thon, Saturday, March 24, 2007. The walk will be from Nanafalia to Putnam. The walk will begin at 9:00 a.m. from the intersection in Nanafalia. Following the walk, fish plates will be sold at Avery and Michelle Williams place in Putnam. Plates are $6.00. Aimwell Cemetery Association request removal of old containers and flowers The Aimwell Cemetery Association request all containers and flowers be removed from the cemetery before April 2. This is to allow time for clean-up work to begin for the Annual Memorial Service on April 21. Your understanding in this matter is appreciated. Thank you, A.W. Etheredge, Secretary-Treasurer. VFW Post 5106 will have meeting VFW Post 5106 and its Ladies Auxiliary will have their regular monthly meeting Monday night March 26, at 7:00 p.m. All members are invited to attend. Historical Society to meet Sunday, March 25th The Clarke County Historical Society will meet Sunday, March 25th at 2:30 p.m. at the Grove Hill Town Hall. The program will be a "show and tell" format. Those attending are asked to bring an item of historical or local interest to display. The public is invited to attend. Rikard's Mill Annual Reopening (Beatrice) The annual reopening of Rikard's Mill will be held on April 14, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. til 4:00 p.m. The grist mill turning out meal and grits again as it has done since Jake Rikard first established a grist mill on Flat Creek in 1845. See blacksmithing; enjoy arts and crafts; story telling; and listen to blue grass, southern gospel, and country music all day long. BBQ will also be available. Located between Monroeville and Camden on Highway 265, 5 miles North of Beatrice. Tri County Pearls of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. holds Easter Egg Hunt Tri County Pearls of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. invites you to a Community Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, April 6, 2007 from 12:00 noon til 2:00 p.m. It will be at the Bessie Munden Recreational Park in Camden; games, coloring contest, face painting, bunny hop and door prizes (bring your own basket). On Saturday, April 7 at 7:00 p.m. Midway Baptist Church is having a Benefit Conventional Gospel Singing for Charles Hunt and family. Charles received extensive injuries in a two vehicle accident and remains in the USA Hospital in Mobile. Everyone is invited to join the Midway congregation in supporting this worthy cause.
