OBITUARIES Betty Baker Betty Baker, age 85, of Sweet Water, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Queen City Nursing Home in Meridian, Miss. She was born November 27, 1921 in Nanafalia. She was a member of Nanafalia Baptist Church and a homemaker. Funeral services were held at Nanafalia Baptist Church on Friday, March 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Baker officiating. Burial was in Nanafalia Baptist Church Cemetery, in Nanafalia. She is survived by: five sons, George (Beverly) Baker of Arkadelphia. Ark.; Danny (Patricia) Baker of Meridian, Miss.; Claude Phillip (Jibbie) Baker of Atlanta, Ga.; Patrick (Pam) Baker of Tuscaloosa; Gary (Sheila) Baker of Northport; three sisters, Evelyn Lawson of Ocean Springs, Miss.; Jean Pritchett of Chatom; Nell Ross of Butler; brother, Matt Mathers of Nanafalia; fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Dellie Jean Larrimore Dellie Jean Larrimore, age 87, a homemaker of Thomaston, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Mobile Infirmary West. She was born December 22, 1919 in Thomasville. Funeral services were held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Friday, March 16, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jimmy O'Bryant officiating. Burial was in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville. She is survived by: several nieces and nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers were: Kyle Patton, Joseph Bronzi, Calvin Bradford, Lamar Larrimore, Bo Drake, Chad Bradford. Bennie Clyde Perry Bennie Clyde Perry, age 84, of Sweet Water, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Miss. She was born on March 19, 1922, in Aimwell. She was retired from Vanity Fair and a member of Aimwell Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at Aimwell Baptist Church on Monday, March 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Lon Baxter and Rev. Morgan Flowers officiating. Burial was in Aimwell Baptist Church Cemetery in Sweet Water. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Perry. She is survived by: four daughters, Catherine (Bill) Taylor of Jackson; Mary (Mack) Rivers of Citronelle; Faye (Terah) Huckabee of Tuscaloosa; Donna (David) Radcliffe of Sweet Water; sister, Irene J. Daniels of Nanafalia; four grandsons and two granddaughters. Pallbearers were: Wayne Perry, Kenny Boyles, Reagan Daniels, Jeff Mayton, Jerry Vick, Aubrey Morgan. Funeral services were held Monday, March 19, 2007 at 12 noon at the Rockbablyon Baptist Church in Dixons Mills. Burial was in the Polly Robinson Cemetery in Dixons Mills. Rev. Norris Pauley officiated. She is survived by: brother, Raymond (Nancy) Dunning of Dixons Mills; four sisters, Aliece Christpen of Thomasville; Ida Malone of Mobile; Madelyn Steele and Ada M. Moore of Pine Hill; stepsister, Mattie Hosea of Dixons Mills; niece Gussie Brinsunt; and nephew, Derrick Thigpen both of Thomasville. Thomasville Memorial Funeral Home directed. Yvonne Anderson McManus Yvonne Anderson McManus, age 71, a homemaker of Sweet Water, passed away Monday, March 19, 2007 at her home. She was born July 25, 1935 in Montgomery. Graveside services were held at Sweet Water Cemetery, Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Davis officiating. She is survived by: husband, James Sidney McManus of Sweet Water; son, James Gregory McManus of Tuscaloosa; two daughters, Anna Ann McManus of Madison, Wisc.; Susette McManus Long of Sweet Water; brother, Eddy Anderson of Huntsville; three sisters, Roslyn Weathers of Alex City; Paula Walton of Madison, Wis.; Agnes Willingham of Demopolis; four grandchildren, Suzanne Conway; Amy McManus; Emily McManus; Matthew Long. Pallbearers were: Randy McManus, Chad McManus, Stacy McManus, Bruce Etheredge, Matt Mathers, Jr., Paul Willingham. Charles Nettles Drinkard, Jr. Charles Nettles Drinkard, Jr., age 55, of Linden, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2007 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis. he was born April 25, 1951 in Selma. He was a cattle farmer. He was director of Central Alabama Co-op and a member of the Alabama Cattleman Association. Funeral services were held at Cornerstone Church on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rob Wynne officiating. Burial was at Linden Memorial Park in Linden. He is survived by: wife, Susie Drinkard; father, Bill Drinkard; mother, Pat Drinkard all of Linden; two daughters, Alice (Gary) Majors of West Blocton; Carol (Kevin) Dixon of Linden; two sons, Chase (Suzanne) Drinkard; Gabe Drinkard both of Linden; two sisters, Anna Carol Dixon of Albertville; Patti Gibbs of Camden; brother, Tim Drinkard of Auburn; two grandchildren, Cooper Dixon and Elizabeth Drinkard both of Linden.
