Aimwell Cemetery Association request removal of old containers and flowers The Aimwell Cemetery Association request all containers and flowers be removed from the cemetery before April 2. Rikard's Mill Annual Reopening (Beatrice) The annual reopening of Rikard's Mill will be held on April 14, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. til 4:00 p.m. The grist mill turning out meal and grits again as it has done since Jake Rikard first established a grist mill on Flat Creek in 1845. See blacksmithing; enjoy arts and crafts; story telling; and listen to blue grass, southern gospel, and country music all day long. BBQ will also be available. Located between Monroeville and Camden on Highway 265, 5 miles North of Beatrice. Midway Baptist Church to hold benefit singing for Charles Hunt and family On Saturday, April 7 at 7:00 p.m. Midway Baptist Church is having a Benefit Conventional Gospel Singing for Charles Hunt and family. Charles received extensive injuries in two vehicle accident and remains in the USA Hospital in Mobile. Everyone is invited to join the Midway congregation in supporting this worthy cause. "Strides" Walk for Diabetes Awareness On Saturday, March 31, members of the Thomasville Lions and District 34N Lions Clubs along with friends and families will participate in the "Strides" Walk for Diabetes Awareness. Registration will take place at 7:00 a.m., Walk to begin at 8:00 a.m. at Thomasville Baptist Church. Walk to be no more than 2 blocks, fee of $10.00. Confederate Memorial Day Observance set for Sunday April 1 A Confederate memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., April 1, 2007, at Horeb Baptist Church, located on Princess Trail one block north of U.S. Highway 84 in Whatley. We will travel a short distance from there to the Creighton and Bettis family cemeteries fro the memorial service.
